Don’t Look at Me, Close Your Eyes is a two-channel video installation (duration: 30 minutes, looped). It has been commissioned by Theaterwerkstatt Pilkentafel as part of a collections of 18 performative solos that will be presented together in a former supermarket in the new town of Flensburg. As pre-recorded and looped film figures, we appear as online 'ghosts' amongst the other live performances.

During the lockdown, the interface with our screens suddenly became vitally important — WhatsApp / Signal / Telegram with friends and family, Zoom or Skype for work, Instagram instead of travel, online HIIT classes instead of swimming at the city pool. A whole life, but streaming. In Don’t Look at Me, Close Your Eyes we exhume the emotions (both good and bad) that have been provoked in us.
